Eyebolts

An eye bolt is a bolt with a loop at one end. They are used to firmly attach a securing eye to a structure, so that ropes or cables may then be tied to it. Eye bolts are forged, one piece design and are commonly used as an attachment point to secure thimbles, clevises, links and deadend insulators. Regular oval eyebolts are supplies with a 4 or 6 inch thread length and one assembled square nut. Forged oval eyebolts are commonly used with thimbles, clevises and other pole line hardware items for overhead guying and deadending. Cone points allow driving without damage to the threads and make the engaging and threading of nuts quicker and easier.
